DEAR FRIENDS,
I pass through the doors of City Union Mission almost every day. I come face to face with people who are filled with the emotional pain, confusion and frustration that come from living with poverty, homelessness, addictions and sinful lifestyles.
There is one big difference between these men, women and children and me. I can go home. They cannot. That's why it is important to me and to every member of our staff that we provide doorways of help, hope and opportunity that bring each hurting person a home someday -- a physical home where they can live and feel safe and secure, and a spiritual home in which they know the love of Jesus Christ.
City Union Mission offers a doorway to freedom from the strangleholds of physical and spiritual poverty. Our door is always open. As you browse through this website, you'll learn just how God is using us to give His help, hope and opportunity to each person we serve.

Community Relations/Awareness Information
The Community Relations Department seeks to EDUCATE Kansas City's population regarding issues of homelessness and poverty; and share the life-changing work the Lord is doing at the City Union Mission. We use various methods of communication to both educate and create opportunities for people to join this ministry. Tours
Virtual tours of our facilities are available online. This short, 12 minute video, "Putting the Pieces Back Together" (65MB, WMV format) will also provide a brief overview of the many programs and services that the Mission offers.

Speaking Dates
If you would like your church, school, business or civic group to become more familiar with the Mission's services, ask for a speaking presentation. Presentations are available for every age group and can include videos, Q&A, volunteer information and more.
