First Baptist Church of Dearborn - Stephanie Hensley reported: Following a brief visit to drop off donations on their way to a weekend activity, youth from this church were driven to tears and the motivation to get involved. They approached their Youth Leader, Stephanie Hensley, and wanted to do more for City Union Mission. As a result, Stephanie and the Youth involved all the members in their Church, as well as members in their community. TheYouth collected Bibles and hymnals for our men's Chapel. They blessed the Family Shelter with a "Bring & Serve". They also provided decor, as centerpieces and fresh Easter Lilies for our Men's Easter Son Rise Service. The Youth participated in our first "My Night in a Box" campaign and challenged all other high schools in their community, promoting it as "high school for the homeless". Youth slept outdoors in the frigid cold in boxes, worked with a local market, and used their shopping carts to go door to door in their community collecting canned goods and monetary donations for City Union Mission.
