Dennis Chapman is the Chief Development Officer (CDO) at City Union Mission.

Dennis had spent 28 years in the field of education prior to his coming to City Union Mission to direct the Development Department in 2001.

During his years of administrating Christian schools, he was continually involved in fund development, which made it a natural fit for his responsibilities at the Mission.

With increased demand for services between 2008 to present, Dennis has overseen the annual fundraising need of nearly $8 million, and the coming year's budget of more than $8 million to provide food and shelter to Kansas City’s poor and homeless.

Robert Strong is the Chief Program Officer (CPO) at City Union Mission. He was born in Holy Grove, Arkansas and moved to Kansas City at age 7.   After graduating from Paseo High School, he served six years in the Army National Guard.

At the age of 27 years old in 1988, he heard the good news of Jesus Christ preached by one of his own brothers in the ministry and realized there was something wrong in his life. After searching for answers in the Bible, Robert accepted by faith the grace and forgiveness provided through Jesus, and from that moment his life was changed.

In 1998, Robert graduated from Carver Bible College and Institute with an Associate Degree in Biblical Studies.

Robert and his wife Carolyn have been married 17 years and are raising 4 children in North Kansas City. He is serving the Lord at Dynamic Life Baptist Ministries as the pastor of the Discipleship ministry and serving his community through City Union Mission.

In 1998 Robert began his employment at City Union Mission working at the Family Center as a Shelter Manager. In 2000 he was promoted to the position of Emergency Shelter Administrator, overseeing the services and daily operations of the shelter. In 2006 he was promoted to Director of Programs at the Family Center.  In September of 2010 Robert was promoted, to replace Lorraine Minor upon her retirement, as Chief Program Officer (CPO).

Robert has a passion and desire to see other believers grow from spiritual infancy to spiritual maturity. The process involves accountable relationships and progressive movement toward Christ likeness.

Linda Vochatzer is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at City Union Mission.

Growing up in Western Kansas, Linda wanted to go to school, get married, and raise a family.  That was the extent of her career dreams.  She attended Fort Hays Kansas University. Linda and her husband worked 3 years for the FBI in Washington, D.C., but decided to return to Hays, where her husband completed his college studies.  She became a mother and loved family life.  Over the next nine years, they had four children.

In 1980, a friend suggested that she come work a week at City Union Mission.  After just a few days, Linda was asked if she could work full time and she accepted. During her 30 years at the Mission, Linda has worked in the mailroom, the business office (handwriting receipts), as secretary to Reverend Vanderberg, and as manager of the business office.  She also operated the switchboard for radio programs, scheduled the pastors that participated in the radio program, cooked meals for the Board of Directors meetings, attended board meetings and compiled their minutes. For the past 19 years she has been the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
