Dazzling Donation
Continuing their long tradition of caring for the homeless served by City Union Mission, students at Ridgeview Elementary School came up with a dazzling project to raise funds for our ministry.
The 2nd and 4th grade classes teamed up to create bead necklaces for sale. They devised an advertising strategy, promoting the sale with posters, announcements and a lot of positive talk. Then, they manned their sales booth for three days during school. When they counted their revenue, they had sold enough 50-cent necklaces to present City Union Mission with $200.
