Hy-Vee Stuff A Truck - Be on call to replace a scheduled volunteer who can't serve due to emergency or illness.
Decorate Overnight Shelters - Thanksgiving or Christmas (Nov., Dec.)
Office Assistant - Support the Community Assistance staff with office tasks. (Nov. through Christmas)
Celebration of Love: Presence of Love Drive - Decorate the gym, make signs, bake cookies, serve refreshments, receive donated items, register guests. (Dec. 2 and before. Click here for more information.)
Holiday Treat Provider - Provide and serve Christmas treats and drinks at our Men’s Center. (Days, Thanksgiving through Christmas)
Presence of Love Store - Assist with set-up and decoration of store (Nov. 27, 28) Assist qualified families as they "shop", receive and organize donations, wrap gifts. (Nov. 29 - Dec. 20)
Christmas Gift Bags - Put supplied items into bags and/or assist with distribution at our Men’s Shelter (Dec. 20, 21)
Christmas Gift Delivery - Use your vehicle to pick up Christmas gifts at Mission and deliver to clients’ homes. (Dec. 22)
New Year's Eve Family Night - Provide food, games and activities for our shelter and recovery families, direct activities and join in the fun.
We are blessed to have our meal-serving needs met for Thanksgiving and Christmas, so we no longer need volunteers on those days.
