Cash Gifts
This year, add the homeless to your Christmas gift list! Right now we need funds to help us cover the daily expenses of providing food, shelter and counseling for the poor and homeless.
There are so many ways to give. You can mail a special gift in the enclosed envelope. Or, make a pledge to our 2005 Celebrate Hope campaign. For added convenience, charge your gift to your credit card or set up an automatic transfer of funds to make regular contributions. If you’d prefer, you can easily give online by visiting our website, www.cityunionmission.org.
We would also like to invite you to join our BED & BREAD CLUB, an important group of core supporters who commit to helping provide the homeless with the necessities of food and shelter. It’s simple to join this vital group – just make a monthly pledge of $15 or more.
Gifts in Kind
Many people help support the Mission by giving in-kind gifts. Would you donate items we can use as part of our ministry, like blankets for our shelter or vehicles for recovery program graduates? Or, you can donate goods and services the Mission can sell, raising funds we can use to fuel our important programs.
City Union Mission’s Funds
The Mission has set up five unique funds that allow donors to designate their gifts to areas they care about the most:
- The Vanderberg Ministry Foundation expands our ministry to the poor in the future.
- The Capital Legacy Foundation funds important renovations and facility improvements.
- The Staff Education and Advancement Fund provides our staff with necessary job training.
- The Children’s Scholarship Fund helps send impoverished kids to Camp CUMCITO.
- The Christian Life Scholarship Fund assists recovery program graduates who attend Bible college.
Planned Giving
Help ensure the Mission’s ministry continues long into the future by making a planned gift today. Leave a legacy by making a bequest to the Mission in your will. Set up a charitable gift annuity, which blesses the Mission while also providing you with guaranteed income for life. Donate appreciated assets like stock you’ve held for more than one year. Set up a life insurance plan and name the Mission as the beneficiary.
