Volunteer - Shelley Armato
One Saturday every month, Shelley Armato dons her apron, and prepares and serves lunch for more than 70 men, women and children at City Union Mission’s Family Center! For two years, with her husband, Dominick, Shelley has solicited the help of their family, friends, congregation and co-workers to make this meal and time of fellowship a blessing to the individuals and families staying with us.
"I want my kids to know giving to others is where it’s at," she says of her family’s regular volunteer service. "Homelessness is across the board. You take your eyes off Jesus and bam - here you are."
Shelley values the opportunity to encourage and love our guests. "Jesus is abundant. I want them to know they will have abundance if they trust in Him."
