Your Chance to Make a Difference

How much does a sleep-away summer camp for kids cost? $1,000 a week? $1,500 a week?

For inner-city kids and their parents—moms and dads who worry about having enough money for groceries and utilities—camp is a luxury they can’t even consider. But kids who are stuck in the throes of poverty and violence and drugs desperately need the chance to experience God’s love and the great outdoors. So it’s up to City Union Mission and God’s people to make it happen.

Here’s how you can participate!

This July, we will send 350 kids from Kansas City and the surrounding area to Camp CUMCITO in Warsaw, Mo. It costs the Mission about $430 to provide a weeklong camp experience for one child. This includes meals, transportation, activities, lodging, health screenings and professional staff ... everything needed for six glorious days of unconditional love and acceptance at our accredited camp.

Your gift of $71.66 will help provide a day of camp for a needy child; $214.98 will cover three days; $430 will make a life-changing week possible for a child in need of hope. Please ask God to direct your giving and click here to donate online.
