To Know Jesus Is the Best Thing of All
At City Union Mission, we believe each child is a gift from God. He created them for a purpose and our responsibility is to demonstrate to them His love and to teach them His Word. We start by providing a carefree, fun-filled week of swimming, hiking, boating and playing in the beautiful Ozark hills. Then, we focus on equipping them with God’s promises to face the challenges of their daily lives at home.
In the past five years, 1,816 kids have attended Camp CUMCITO; 252 of them dedicated their lives to Christ during their week at camp.
We invite campers to continue to be a part of our ministry by participating in programs at the Vanderberg Youth Center (VYC). We offer after-school programs, tutoring, sports teams, Bible studies and much more to keep kids off the streets and committed to living productive lives. Each year, nearly 100 youth attend activities at the VYC; about one-fourth of them come to know the Lord during our time together.
