Celebrate Hope 2008

October 1, 2007 - January 31, 2008

Who are the men, women and children who come to City Union Mission for help?

The man sitting head down outside your office building. He’s spent years drowning in alcohol. He’s lost all dignity and self-respect.

The mother who waits in the parking lot for her children to get out of school. She’s glad the fall term has started because there she knows they will get breakfast and lunch every day. Now, she needs only worry about where they will find an evening meal ... and where they will sleep tonight.

City Union Mission is a place of hope for the poor and homeless in Kansas City. A nourishing meal ... a hot shower ... a set of clean clothes ... a safe bed to sleep in - these are just the beginning of what we offer!

With your help, these hurting souls will hear the Gospel and be given the opportunity to find recovery and stability in our long-term, Bible-based residential programs.

October 1, we kick off our annual Celebrate Hope: Reach out to K.C.’s Poor and Homeless campaign. During the campaign, we hope to raise $3.5 million - about half our funding needs for this fiscal year. When you make a financial contribution to City Union Mission’s Celebrate Hope campaign, you offer the homeless the chance to restore their dignity, build new lives and contribute to our community.

Our Goal: $3.5 Million
