From the Executive Director
Dear Friend,
As executive director, City Union Mission is an integral part of my life. Serving the homeless and poor has been my life’s passion for more than 30 years now. But as I look around the Men’s Center or walk through the Family Center, I realize I am such a small part of this ministry.
For 84 years, the Mission has been blessed with thousands of compassionate friends who care deeply about downtrodden men, women and children in our city ... who give to others, expecting nothing in return ... who open their souls and share their experiences in hopes of making a difference in a life that is hurting. People who live from their hearts.
In the pages that follow, we offer you a glimpse of a few individuals, families, churches and businesses connected in this ministry. You’ll see loving, compassionate, “rough and tough” bikers, young kids and retirees who have made the Mission an integral part of their own lives. There are so many, many more folks we could tell you about. I hope you’ll take a few minutes and browse our Web site to read their stories of living - and giving - from their hearts, too.
You and I truly are whom God planned to use in caring for those who need our help to survive and revive. Thank you for making the Mission a part of your life so we can continue to be a vital part of our city!
For His Glory,

Rev. Daniel J. Doty
Executive Director
