Thanks for Blessing the Needy During the Holidays
This holiday season, Kansas Citians again proved they have huge hearts. Hundreds of you gave generously of your time and resources to make the holidays brighter for the homeless and poor in our community.Hy-Vee Stuff A Truck
During this important annual food drive, we received $77,128.72 in groceries, which was used to fill our emergency food pantry and given to the homeless during the holidays.
Celebration of Love
Over 350 visitors joined us for this annual event, bringing funds and food for the homeless. We collected 612 turkeys, 22 hams, and 400 pounds of food items.
Christmas Store
This year, hundreds donated gift items to our Christmas Store, where 1,259 income-qualified individuals shopped for free gifts.
Gifts and Food Baskets
Thanks to generous donations of money and food, we were able to provide 15,091 simple Christmas gifts for our homeless guests, youth in our Vanderberg Youth Center, low-income nursing home residents and prisoners. We also provided 319 food baskets at Thanksgiving and Christmas for shut-ins and families in need.
