How many requests do you get from groups asking for financial help? If you are like me, you get several each week. Sometimes it’s very difficult to select which groups we should help, isn’t it? That’s why I’d like to share a few reasons why I’m convinced supporting City Union Mission is a very wise investment. First, we aren't simply another group that feeds the homeless. For nearly 82 years, our ministry has addressed the whole person. In addition to providing three nutritious meals a day, free clothing and safe shelter, we offer counseling, health care, computer learning centers, transitional living, youth programs and much more.
But perhaps the most important aspect of our ministry, and the one that sets us apart from others, is our Christian focus. We emphasize that true change comes from having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
At the Mission, we bathe everything we do in prayer, depend on the Lord and seek His blessing. One of our core values is "integrity" because we want our actions to always match what we say. As a result, we’ve earned an honored reputation.
I am so grateful to have you as a partner in service, and I thank God for your financial, volunteer and prayer support.
