Jeff Addison - High Impact Volunteer
Heart for the Hungry: For five years, professional chef Jeff Addison provided the excess food from his catered events to the homeless on Kansas City’s streets before he became a High Impact Volunteer at City Union Mission. After hearing about the Mission from his new homeless friends, Jeff took a tour and liked what he saw.Sharing His Skills: Jeff serves as a Church Ambassador, acting as a liaison between his church and the Mission. He’s also volunteered his professional skills at the Men’s Center, organizing our food storage system.
Quote: “Every night I think, ‘Here I am in a nice, warm bed, and it’s 20 degrees outside, and there’s somebody out there sleeping under a bridge.’ I know there’s something I can do to help. I feel blessed by the Lord, and I need to give back.”
