Assist the Facilities Administrator in scheduling, coordinating, supervising, and performing all necessary maintenance work to be done at the Men’s Center/Administrative building facilities and grounds, and at other Mission owned or operated locations as assigned.

Qualifications:

Seek donations or discounts to supply needs for all departments that work within the procurement system. Locate best values of services and product thru budget relief programs. Establish and maintain relationships between area businesses and City Union Mission in order to acquire financial and material support, services, or gift in kind. Work with team to establish appropriate advertising/marketing strategies for various projects and events. Constantly research competitive technology that will benefit “sales and marketing aspect” of the Mission.

 Operations: Cook

Provide nutritious and attractive meals to shelter guests, staff and volunteers. An adequate amount of food must be prepared according to the number of people in the shelter up to 300. Provide a friendly, warm atmosphere for shelter guests, staff and volunteers. Maintain Health Department standards for cleanliness in kitchen and dining room.

Qualifications:

Warsaw Opportunity Farm: Cook and Driver

Opportunity Farm is dual-focus ministry. The first focus is the Christian Life Program: a Christ-centered, Biblically-based, long-term drug and alcohol recovery ministry. The second focus is Camp CUMCITO: a Christian camping ministry of City Union Mission. Prepare and serve meals for the Opportunity Farm, along with maintaining the kitchen and dining room areas. Keep accurate records of food and supplies for the kitchen.

Qualifications:

Meet the informational needs of all callers during non-business hours, especially with ministry to homeless persons seeking shelter. Help provide a safe environment for staff clients, and guests. Monitor building activities from the security booth and function as the Shelter Manager during the overnight hours.
