Bed and Bath Drive: (Towels and/or Twin Sheets) We wash 300+ towels and twin size sheets every day and as you can imagine, they wear out quickly! Please donate new or gently used sheets and towels.
Bible Drive: Share the Word! As a child of God, you know how vital the Bible is. To hear God’s voice through the pages of His Word brings us comfort, guidance, and wisdom. City Union Mission provides Bibles to all of our guests. We want to equip all believers as they grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. - download a flier here.

Bottled Water Drive (April to Aug)
Box Fans for the Summer Drive: Kansas City has some hot summers and you can help bring relief to income-qualified families by collecting box fans for the Mission. We also use box fans at our summer camp to help cool the cabins so our campers can sleep better. - download flier here.

Medical Supplies Drive: By getting these items donated, this relieves our supply & medicine budget to buy the medicines that are more expensive and less common, and therefore less likely to be donated. - download flier here.
- Ibuprofen -- We prefer the 200mg, 500 tabs to a bottle. We use appx. 40 of those bottles a year.
- Men's Reading Glasses -- We would like to have 20-50 pairs.
- Pill Boxes -- We go through appx. 10-15 pill boxes a month.
- Multivitamins -- We buy 2 bottles of 450 tabs each per month.
- Benedryl -- We use appx. 1 bottle of 400 tabs a month.
School Supplies Drive
Sock Drive: We provide each child that comes to camp with a new pair of socks and we also hand them out to our shelter guests. While children may prefer the colorful socks, men generally want white sock. - download flier here.
Underwear Drive: (Undie Sunday or Undie Monday) A necessity of everday life, yet we never have enough for the guests in our shelters. City Union Mission needs new socks and underwear of all styles and sizes! - download flier here.
Toilet Paper Drive: TP the Mission! In all of our facilities combined, City Union Mission uses more than 6,000 rolls of bathroom tissue each month! Collecting TP will alleviate a large cost to the Mission. - download flier here.
Welcome Bags Drive: Many of our clients come to our shelter empty-handed and you can help by collecting basic necessities. Travel size work best.
- Deodorant, Shampoo, Conditioner, Soap, Shaving Cream, Disposable Razors, Tooth Brush, Tooth Paste and Mouthwash (alcohol-free).
- Additional items needed for Family Center: Hand/Body Lotion, Women's Hygiene Products, Baby Items (Disposable Diapers, Wipes, Shampoo, Baby Wash, Baby Oil, and Baby Powder).
