
Men's Christian Life Program Resident Manager
Non-Benefits Eligible/Part Time

Maintain a safe and secure facility which houses the Christian Life Program. Share an apartment with another resident manager on site and be provided meals with guests and staff. Provide compassionate orderliness throughout the Christian Life Center, particularly overnight. Conduct security patrols during the night, as well as work closely with other CUM security personnel.
As opportunity arises, encourage CLP members. Function as a member of the CLP Team. Assist program clients and officers in resolving conflicts. Manage the clothing and personal hygiene components of the CLP. Complete any other duties that may be assigned by the CLP Administrator. Seek to exemplify Jesus Christ daily and be prepared to share the Gospel as opportunities arise. Perform other duties as assigned.
No pay, but a trade-off of room and board for hours of work evenings and overnights.
Qualifications:
- Be a born again, mature Christian able to clearly communicate the Gospel as opportunities during the work day arise. (1 Peter 2:21 & 1 Peter 3:15).
- Have a desire to serve the Lord through widely varied responsibilities to advance ministry to those currently homeless and the urban poor of Kansas City with a compassionate heart.
- Possess a demonstrable background of spiritual maturity and be active in a local church.
- Must be a decisive person, dependable, one who exhibits good judgment, oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, computer skills, and be a team player.
- Must be a person who works well with people, is concerned about their needs, and able to provide correction / direction through truth and love.
- Have minimum of a Bachelors degree in Bible / Theology / Ministry or in Social Work or Human Services.
- Have experience in providing physical and electronic security.
- Must be able to understand and adhere to policies listed in the CUM staff policy manual.
