Ways to Engage

Your Youth

My Night in a Box is a great way to engage your youth. It is an overnight event for student ministries and children’s ministries.  The goal is to:

  • Teach students about the issues of poverty and homelessness through interactive learning experiences, small group discussions, and theme oriented games.
  • Provide an opportunity for students to help address issues of poverty and homelessness in their community.
  • Provide students the opportunity to help with collecting needs of City Union Mission.
  • Help student ministers maximize and transform the traditional “event model” of youth ministry by implementing this transformational night of worship.

 

Your Children’s Ministry

A great way to engage children in your church is:

  • Encourage children to become a prayer partner of City Union Mission.
  • To consider City Union Mission as their mission focus in their Sunday School or at your Summer Vacation Bible School.
  • Invite a speaker from City Union Mission to share about the Mission.
  • Encourage the children to sponsor a drive and get their whole church or community involved in collecting needed items at the mission.
