You can help a child's Christmas dream come true!

Gift Lists

Please provide items that are new and not gift-wrapped.

Household:  Small appliances (i.e. crockpots, griddles, electric skillets, toaster ovens, microwaves, coffee makers); full, queen & king size sheet sets, blankets and comforters; bath and towel sets; dinnerware, flatware and glassware or plastic drinking-glass sets; throw rugs.

Men:  Bath & body sets, cologne and aftershave sets; slippers, socks, underwear and T-shirts; dress shirts, Chiefs jerseys, blue jeans and belts (all sizes); wristwatches and wallets; hand and power tools.

Women:  Bath and body gift sets; perfume; manicure sets; wristwatches, jewelry and purses; journals and stationary sets; clothing of all sizes, including flannel/fleece pajamas, robes, slippers, sweatshirts, athletic shoes and pants.

Teenagers:  CD/radio stereo boomboxes, MP3 and DVD players, bath and body sets, hand-held electronic games, wristwatches, clothing (all kinds and sizes), footballs, basketballs and soccer balls, skateboards.

Girl Gifts (12 & under):  Ethnic dolls, Barbie dolls, hand-held electronic games, play make-up sets, hair accessory sets, slippers, art sets, bicycles, clothing (sizes 6-20).

Boy Gifts (12 & under):  Action figures, hand-held electronic games, remote control vehicles, Lego sets, art sets, bicycles, toys, clothing (sizes 6-20).

At the Mission's Presence of Love Store, income-qualified community members can "shop" free, selecting gifts like warm pajamas, gloves, toys, and many other items for those they hold dear.  This unique Christmas store not only provides the blessing of the gifts, but the added blessing of dignity for a parent as they are given an opportunity to select items for their loved ones themselves.

  • We ask that all gifts be new and unwrapped to allow staff to be able to assign gifts to families that are age- and need-appropriate.
  • We prefer that gifts be delivered to our Family Center at 1310 Wabash, KCMO 64127, between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday.  However, if you need to deliver after 4:00 pm during the week or on Saturday, please call Dena at 816-329-1423 to make arrangements.
  • In order to allow time for separating and wrapping gifts, we prefer they be delivered by December 9th, however we will accept gifts through the 19th.
  • If you would like to volunteer to provide decorations and decorate parts of our building, deliver gifts, or interview clients, please fill out a volunteer application.

Gifts a Family Receives:

  • Each household receives 1 Household Gift.
  • Adults receive 2 Gifts and 3 Stocking Stuffers.
  • Teenagers receive 2 Gifts and 3 Stocking Stuffers.
  • Children receive 3 Gifts and 3 Stocking Stuffers.
