American Association of Family Physicians Partners with City Union Mission

Mission News

The American Association of Family Physicians collected and delivered to the Mission over 140 donations of food, clothes, money, gift cards, as well as, hats, gloves, and mittens. Some committee members made the bulletin board below to remind other employees about the drive. Then, they colored in the tree and the candy cane as the donations came in. They also decorated their company Christmas tree with ornaments signifying each donation received.

Group representative, Jennifer Head, told us, “We chose the City Union Mission because we appreciate that you protect, feed, and give guidance and social services to those who are in dire need. Getting folks off the street and introducing them to job opportunities are vital steps towards rehabilitating the homeless. Our donations of food, supplies, and money allow the City Union Mission to provide these services.” Thank you AAFP employees for partnering with us!
