(Kansas City, MO) City Union Mission will host its annual Christmas dinner for its men’s shelter guests this Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at its Men’s Center, located at 1108 E. 10th St., Kansas City, MO.
Volunteers from GE Consumer Finance will provide and serve a traditional Christmas meal, along with distributing gifts that City Union Mission has received from donors. Gifts will include insulated flannel shirts, personal care packages, fruit bags, and other presents.
Rod Kenner, City Union Mission's men’s shelter administrator, said, “It’s a time for our guys to receive. They probably aren’t on anyone’s Christmas list. It’s a time for us to give to them, and for them to open their arms and receive God’s love. We want them to know we care.”
