City Union Mission Volunteers to Deliver Christmas Baskets and Gifts to Families in Need
December 22, 2005
(KANSAS CITY, MO)  December 22, 2005.  City Union Mission volunteers will deliver Christmas baskets and gifts to over 100 low-income families throughout the Kansas City area Friday, December 23, 2005.  The baskets will include food for Christmas dinner and other items, such as toilet paper and laundry detergent.  Some families will also receive Christmas gifts, made possible through City Union Mission’s Adopt-A-Family program.

Also, City Union Mission’s CELEBRATE HOPE campaign is an effort to raise $2.9 million, nearly half of the Mission’s annual budget, by January 15, 2006.   The Mission has currently received over $1.5 million towards this goal, with 25 days left.  All financial donations (tax-deductible) are greatly needed and appreciated.
