What If There Were No City Union Mission?
City Union Mission will celebrate 80 years of providing hope and help to Kansas City’s poor and homeless
June 23, 2004
  (KANSAS CITY, MO)  On Saturday, June 26th, City Union Mission’s 80 Years: "Putting the Pieces Back Together Celebration" will take place at the newly renovated Liberty Memorial Auditorium and Lobby from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. with refreshments following.

Why should you attend?
  • Past: Look back at City Union Mission’s Beginnings - In 1924, City Union Mission first opened its doors serving thousands of homeless men that year.
  • Present: 80 years later City Union Mission continues to reach out to Kansas City’s poor and homeless providing over 280,000 meals and almost 125,000 beds for homeless and poor men, women and children.
  • Future: A look at what it means to Kansas City to have City Union Mission in our community ministering to the needs of the poor and homeless.

City Union Mission is an evangelical Christian ministry committed to sharing the gospel and meeting the spiritual, physical and emotional needs of men, women and children who are poor or homeless. The Mission has been restoring hope to Kansas City's poor and homeless for over 82 years. Last year, City Union Mission provided almost 292,000 meals for the hungry and over 127,000 beds for the weary.
