Choir From Alabama Inspires Men At Chapel Service
June 30, 2006

(Kansas City, MO) On June 30th High School students from First Baptist Church, Cullman, Alabama, topped off their choir tour by coming to City Union Mission before returning home. Rodney Kenner, Men’s shelter Administrator, said the kids were an amazing blessing. "Chapel service will never be the same!"

Brian Witcher, minister of music with First Baptist Church in Cullman, leads the group. The chapel choir is made up of 41 high school students. They have been on tour since June 22nd, singing and sharing Christ with various missions and churches. They were even asked to share the "Star Spangled Banner" at a Colorado Rockies’ game. This year’s tour concluded with their last performance on Sunday night, July 2nd at their home church in Cullman.

"When Brian made the invitation to come to Jesus, accepting Him as Lord and Savior, one man decided it was his time to come. God used these kids to save a life. That’s awesome. You just never know how or when God will use you. These kids just made themselves available," said Rodney.

Brian said, "We hope that Christ has been glorified and His name uplifted through our music. God Bless you!"

If your youth choir would like to come and share Jesus, please contact Pat in our Volunteer Department at (816) 329-1487 or by email at Volunteers@cumission.org.
