City Union Mission held it's 21st annual community drive on December 2, 2006.
"This year we changed the date, emphasis, and location from the Men's Center to the Family Center. Not many people are aware that we also shelter women, children, and families. This gave us the opportunity to provide a tour of the Family Center to our donors. We had close to 220 people come through our Family Center. Tour guides from our longterm recovery programs provided details about the specific area being showcased and answered questions. Everyone seemed to really enjoy the tour. Thanks to the many volunteers, everything went very well," reported Lorraine Minor, Associate Executive Director of Programs and Administration. "All in all it was a great day!"

Celebration of Love:Presence of Love gives the community the opportunity to provide gifts for our Presence of Love Store, (formerly the Christmas Store) where income qualified families "shop" for free presents for each of their family members.
You can still participate in the Presence of Love Store. Please click here for information about where to bring unwrapped gifts and monetary donations. There is also a list of needed items.
