(KANSAS CITY, MO) August 3, 2005. To receive free school supplies, low-income families may interview at City Union Mission’s Family Center at 1310 Wabash, KCMO, Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM, between now and Aug. 12, 2005.
The number of families coming for interviews is low this year, so there are still plenty of school supply certificates available. Interviews are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Each year, City Union Mission provides 2,000 homeless and low-income children with school supplies. To receive these items, families must be interviewed to income-qualify.
Parent(s) need to bring Social Security numbers for their entire household if possible. Helpful Hint: If the children are eligible for free or reduced school lunches, the family would income-qualify for school supplies. |
