City Union Mission’s annual School Supply distribution event. Approximately two thousand poor and homeless children will receive new backpacks filled with school supplies. (Families have already been income-qualified and have received certificates to return on this day.)

The community has partnered with City Union Mission to ensure that area kids are able to start school with the tools they need. Other partners include 94.9 KCMO radio, Community America Credit Union, Thriftway, and Kansas City Chiefs’ Tony Richardson’s Rich in Spirit Foundation. |
