A sneak peek of “Homelessness & the Power of One,” a film that has taken producer Sue Victory to 15 cities over the last three years, as she studied homelessness across America.

Former Kansas City Chiefs kicker Nick Lowery, who narrated the film, will speak. Kansas City’s own Bloodstone will perform original music written for the documentary. Several men and women who were previously homeless will convey their stories.

“I would call it a culmination of three years of a labor of love, and a gift to the community by way of raising the voice of our city’s homeless,” said Victory. |
Funds raised at the event will benefit various ministries that reach out to the homeless, including City Union Mission. “Any extra funds from this event will be especially appreciated,” said City Union Mission’s Executive Director Dan Doty. “Although we are now closer to meeting our budget, we are still about $650,000 behind. We are so grateful for those in the community who help us keep our doors open,” said Doty.
