Lenexa Baptist Honored with 2007 Cup in His Name Award
September 25, 2007

On September 19, 2007, Dan Doty, Executive Director of City Union Mission, presented Lenexa Baptist Church with A Cup in His Name Award for Exemplary Church involvement at an awards’ luncheon hosted by Jack Stack Barbeque at the Freight House in Downtown Kansas CIty, Missouri. Senior Pastor Steve Dighton and Executive Pastor Larry White were on hand to receive the award.

Since 2003 they have supported City Union Mission financially, been involved in the Church Ambassador program since its inception, have filled the pulpit at our chapel services, and participated in monthly drives, providing thousands of dollars worth of supplies for clients over the years.

“Their faithful partnership, and their dedication to the cause of Christ for the least of these means so much to us, and to the clients we serve. Thank you,” said Dan Doty.
