On September 19, 2007, Dan Doty, Executive Director of City Union Mission, presented The Matthew 25 Award for Outstanding Corporate Involvement to Black & Veatch at an awards’ luncheon hosted by Jack Stack Barbeque at the Freight House in Downtown Kansas CIty, Missouri.

“We’ve met so many wonderful people, and have really appreciated having this relationship with them,” said Doty. “They are a group of fine people, who have made a remarkable contribution to Kansas City, and the entire community, through their tireless service.”

For years, Black and Veatch have been involved with several of City Union Mission’s programs and drives, particularly enjoying Adopt-a Family and Share-a-Gift at Christmas. They have been generous Celebrate Hope: Giving Hands Give Hope Banquet Sponsors, and have also provided thousands of dollars worth of gift-in-kind donations.

“Black & Veatch is outstanding. We are glad to be able to honor them,” said Shawna Merrill, Corporate Relations Specialist. Please click here if you would like information about how your business or corporation can get involved at City Union Mission.
