The store’s shelves are low with 30 families coming in daily to “shop.” We are asking community members to donate unwrapped Christmas gifts or donate financially. These gifts are made available to lower-income-qualified individuals so they can “shop” for free Christmas gifts for their own family members. 3800 people, including 1500 kids, rely on City Union Mission’s Presence of Love store for Christmas.
“The need at Christmas is especially great. The families we serve depend on us,” said Lorraine Minor, Associate Executive Director of Programs & Administration.
A full list of the most needed gift items and drop off locations are listed below. "We are thankful to local stores that have allowed us to put barrels in their stores to collect gifts," said Shawna Ketter, Corporate Relations Specialist. “The community has never let us, or the poor and homeless we serve, down before, so we know we can trust that there will be a great response.
