The Buffalo Man Again Serves City Union Mission
All-Staff Christmas party
December 11, 2007

Jeff Oakes is known around City Union Mission as The Buffalo Man. For four years he has blessed us by sharing unbelievably delicious meat from the buffalo he raises on his ranch. "Our guests and staff always get excited when they know Jeff is coming.  He provides one entire meal for all the men at our Men’s center and for the families staying at our Family center," said Dennis Chapman, Associate Executive Director of Development.

This is the second year he has blessed our staff by providing all the food for our All-Staff Christmas party, held on Monday, December 10th.  He brought with him buffalo meat for the freezer and boxes of clothing. With him, to help serve, were employees from UPS and Wear Concept.

“Again we really just want to thank Jeff and those he brought with him.  It was such an encouragement for the staff,” said Dan Doty.
