"City Union Mission is a remarkable place!", said Mary Ann Hollander, student at William Jewell College.
Mary Ann and many other students at William Jewell participated in a drive for City Union Mission. Their collection brought in hundreds of trial-size bottles of hygiene items needed for those who are poor and homeless in our community.

One might ask...how many hygiene items does City Union Mission pass out in a year? We've counted and last year we provided 131,000 beds to men, women and children who were in need of a safe place to stay, so on any given day we pass out hygiene packets to approximately 360 people.
Hygiene items are basic necessities, but to some people they are luxuries. "The reason we are able to keep our doors open and provide these basics to the homeless and hurting is because of compassionate friends like those at William Jewell College," said Shawna Ketter, Corporate Relations Specialist.
