Mission: Christmas!
Reaching Out
While we can never match the amazing gift God gave to us that first Christmas, we do everything we can to share the message of hope He delivered through Christ’s birth with the men and women in our care and struggling families and individuals in our community. The thousands of gifts we give at Christmas are an important part of this process, which gives our staff, volunteers and faithful donors many opportunities to show homeless and hurting people of all ages they’re worthy of love, acceptance and respect.
Each year, the Mission works hand in hand with generous individuals, churches, schools and businesses to make the season a little bit brighter for low-income or homeless families and men, nursing home residents, children at the Vanderberg Youth Center, and Jackson County Jail inmates. With the help of volunteers, the Mission distributes over 36,000 new items and about 160 food baskets during the Christmas season.
